Green Shake Recipes

We recommend buying in bulk and using fresh ingredients for a day or two after purchasing. Then you can freeze all produce you are not going to use right away. A simple, time-saving tip is to make up several zip lock bags with individual shake ingredients, then freeze for easy pre-­made shake mixes! They will stay fresh for up to 6 months in the freezer. Use organic ingredients if possible, especially organic greens. Remember to add fats and proteins like: avocado, nuts or nut butters, or chia, hemp and flax seeds to make it a complete meal. 

Purple Shake

  • 5-­6 cups Spinach
  • 1 pear
  • 1 apple
  • 2 Tbsp coconut cream
  • 1-2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 cup mixed berries Optional: 1⁄2 lemon peeled

Green Shake

  • 5-­6 cups mixed baby greens: ­ kale, spinach, chard
  • 1 pear
  • 1 apple
  • 1/8 pineapple
  • 1/2 lemon (rind mostly removed)
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
